Our local business highlight for March is the thriving tap house and bottle shop in Old Town Cornelius aptly named, Old Town Public House or OTPH.
Not only is it a local craft beer watering hole but they have live music almost every night (check their schedule). I’ve found it to be a fantastic place to host meetings on weekdays or hang out with friends anytime. If you don’t drink, don’t worry…they have a selection…variety of craft beer on tap & in bottles, wine and a cooler of non-alcoholic
beverages.
If you come hungry, they offer some food items to satisfy…individual size Mama’s pizzas, Queen Charlotte pimento cheese, pita chips & more. There are also a few restaurants that will deliver, if you need more food. You have options!
One of the things that makes this place really shine…the cozy feel and the cool vibe. It can get busy but that can be some of the fun of going because you run into friends or make new ones. I think you’ll find that the staff are all very attentive & knowledgable with what to order. The taps change often, so don’t just go once.
OTPH constantly supports local artists in the space. You’ll see the art change over time and most are available for purchase. They host some great events and change things up a bit, so keep watch on their Facebook page.
As with all things local, if you like it, support it and it’ll be around for the long haul. If you’ve never been, find a good music night and flock with the crowd or for a more intimate conversation evening, hit them up during the week or earlier in the evening. Most of the bands will begin at 8pm, so come early to catch a seat. See you there!
Cheers!
